A Community Hub for the Bayview
Connect, Learn and Grow
Find us on Facebook
We have opened a new Community Hub at 4900 3rd Street! The Hub is a place for the community to connect, learn about family resources, and build upon our five existing Head Start Centers in District 10. This new hub will complement our existing programming and offer activities for young children and families such as:
- Storytime
- Percussion Music Classes
- Dance Classes
- Family Support
- and more!
We are expanding access to early care and education, activities, and community resources in southeast neighborhoods. With that in mind, we want to add programming that serves expecting families and children ages 0-5 years old, as well as their parents, guardians, and caregivers.
Considering the Bayview Hunters Point designation as an African American Arts & Culture District, we are especially excited to speak to local organizations preserving, expanding, and pioneering African American cultural art and traditions. The Hub will be a space for the community, led and designed by the unique cultures and traditions of the community.
The Hub PlayZone
Join us at the Hub PlayZone: A drop-in activities and playroom for kids ages 0-5 and a caregiver.
The playroom is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11-2 & 3-4:30
