We hope the new year brings you prosperity and good fortune
Happy Year of the Tiger! We wish a Happy Lunar New Year to our community, and hope that the year of the tiger is a healthy and prosperous one for you and your family. Known as the king of the beasts in China and symbolizing strength and bravery, the tiger is considered to be a guardian of children. Infants and toddlers wear shoes with tiger decorations for good luck, and to protect them against evil spirits.
What a fitting year for Wu Yee, which means “protector of children,” as we lean into the legacy that our founders established over four decades ago.
We are proud to be a sponsor of the 12th Annual Bayview Black History Month & Lunar New Year Celebration. Join the Bayview YMCA, Community Youth Center, Chinatown Community Development Center, and community partners for opening blessings, remarks from local dignitaries, cultural performances, and open dialogue promoting racial solidarity on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 11 am Live on CYC’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
