Founders & Friends Virtual Event

Thank you to all who joined Wu Yee's 2022 Founders and Friends event!

Thank you to all who joined Wu Yee’s 2022 Founders and Friends event! We’re so thankful for the community that nurtures and supports our children, families, and educators. If you missed it, here is the recording of the event, plus the individual videos shared during the event are on our YouTube channel playlist.

We are so grateful to Wu Yee’s founding mothers, Catherine Ko, Miranda Li, Sai-Ling Chan-Sew, and Nancy Gurian, who shared their stories about the agency’s origins and how the right people came together at the right time and place to form the Association of Children’s Rights and Services – which soon became Wu Yee Children’s Services.

We are over halfway to our Fund-a-Need goal and need your support to sponsor our Centers, Classrooms, Family Child Care homes, and Educators!

FUND-A-NEED

Congratulations to Leslie and Lena who won door prizes!

Updates from Board President Sonya Thomas and CEO Monica Walters:

  • There are many ways to get involved, including joining our Board of Directors or Ambassadors.

  • Support our #GiveInMay campaign for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM). This year’s #GiveInMay theme is “Rebuilding Together.”

  • We will be opening 6 new centers in the coming months and years. One of the new centers will be at a housing development in Hayes Valley/Lower Haight for low-income adults and families, as well as previously unhoused transitional-aged youth – read the Mayor’s press release about the groundbreaking ceremony.
Thank you to our very generous sponsors!
