A Community Hub for the Mission
Wu Yee Children’s Services is expanding its presence in San Francisco with the opening of the Mission Children’s Hub, a new community-based location inside The Women’s Building at 3543 18th Street. The new hub brings Wu Yee Children’s Services’ comprehensive early childhood, family support, and workforce development services directly into one of the city’s neighborhoods with the greatest need for accessible resources for young children and families.
Nearly 15% of the children and families served by Wu Yee Children’s Services reside in the Mission District. The new location will make it easier for families, caregivers, and early childhood educators to access services close to home while strengthening partnerships with other community organizations serving the neighborhood.
The Mission Children’s Hub is located within The Women’s Building, a longstanding community anchor that is home to a number of nonprofit organizations. By joining this collaborative environment, Wu Yee will expand opportunities for families to connect with multiple services in one trusted and accessible location.
Services offered at the Mission Children’s Hub include:
- Playgroups for infants, toddlers, and caregivers
- Drop-in support through Wu Yee’s Resource & Referral program to help families navigate child care options and community resources
- Early Head Start Home Visiting Program supporting families experiencing homelessness or living situations not suitable for home visits
- Gatherings and professional development opportunities for Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN)
- Recruitment and outreach for the IRISE Apprenticeship Program, helping strengthen San Francisco’s early childhood workforce
- Community workshops, family engagement activities, and connections to additional Wu Yee programs and services
The Mission Children’s Hub creates a neighborhood-based entry point where parents, caregivers, and educators can receive trusted guidance, build relationships, and connect with a continuum of services designed to support the whole child and the whole family.
